The Chocolate Brown Story
Nestled in
the rolling hills, a half hour drive from Auckland Cities North
Shore, is the coastal/country town of Warkworth, gateway to the
North and Matakana's wine region and its slow food culture and of
course the famous Matakana Markets.
Warkworth is well known for its quaintness and for the many
beautiful beaches that surround it. It is the perfect weekend get
away where the pace is slower and where you can escape the bustle
of city life.

Chocolate Brown is a definate destination for all true hardcore
chocolate lover's. Situated in a creatively renovated
building, which previously housed a local old school panel beaters,
is testament to what can be done when your mind is set upon it.
The Chocolaterie:
The Chocolaterie hand makes its beautiful Award winning
chocolates on site every day from the finest gourmet Belgium Barry
Callebaut coverture & the freshest of New Zealand's real butter
& cream along with many other required ingredients &
decorations sourced from passionate growers, manufacturers &
suppliers.
The Cafeteria:
With its stylish causal ambience, is made intimate with
the cosy fire in winter and verandah seating on warmer days. It's
licensed and open for Brunch & Lunch daily
A Little Bit Of Back Ground:
This family owned business, was purchased & re-branded in
2007 (Originally set up 15 years ago by a Swiss couple passionate
about chocolate). It is becoming increasingly well known for its
decadent Award winning handmade confections & w/ its imported
British sweets, Dutch liquorice & handmade fudge range is a
true destination for all.

We are very proud to be able to produce our products here in New
Zealand, we love our country and have had the privilage of living
in Queenstown in the deep South and now Warkworth nearly in the far
North, all and all we are proud to call NZ home.
