essential to use the best of beautiful ingredients.
The finest Gourmet Barry Callebaut Coverture, is the very
foundation for our range of chocolates and novelties. New Zealand
real cream and butter is used for the many fillings with fresh
toasted nuts, fruits, liqueurs and natural flavours added to enrich
the many different varities, other quality ingredients are
sourced
from many passionate suppliers and growers.
Our chocolates are handmade daily to ensure freshness.
No preservatives are added to extend shelve life. The
majority of our range is Gluten Free & Many Dairy Free items
are also available.
Our Favourtie Fillings
Gianduja: Our most widely used filling &
very European. is used to make our delighful little mice which are
handpiped & handdecorated. Gianduja was first produced in the
latter half of the 19th century. The Napoleonic wars caused cocoa
to be rationed, so a blend of nuts was added to the chocolate to
make it go further. It proved so popular that it has become the
staple ingredient it is today. We use our own special blend of
chocolate & ground roasted & caramelized nuts to hand make
our Gianduja using specialised machinery some of which of which
dates pre war.
Truffle: This most divine of partnerships of
the finest New Zealand cream & the finest of Belgium chocolate
blended together to make a smooth indulgent filling which keeps you
divinely attentive, forms the base of our decadent handmade
truffles and other praline.
Marzipan: Our handmade marzipan is a blend of
freshly ground Almonds, & sugar with a final hint of Almond
extract to add that special hit. We supply it as is and enrobed in
the finest dark chocolate. Very delectable, try it our way with
wild honey and toasted pinnuts enrobed in Dark chocolate.
Fondant: A soft sweet sugar filling that is
enhanced with flavours like peppermint, fruits & berries, this
filling has a unique smooth texture, try our Raspberry and
Peppermint creams.
ButterCream: Our newest filling, features in
our very own kahlua cream praline, it is a smooth, creamy and
luxurious filling , a very decadent addition to our range.
